This recipe was first proposed in the 1980s by chef Isidoro Berton, a historic figure in Caorle's restaurant scene, who helped elevate local seafood cuisine through dishes that blend elegance with authentic Adriatic flavors.


Gnocchi del Doge is born from the combination of the delicacy of potato gnocchi and the richness of fine ingredients such as scampi and scallops, in a preparation that over the years has become one of the city's best-known and most appreciated specialties.


Today, this tradition continues at Sporting thanks to chef Alessandro Berton, Isidoro's son, who preserves and offers the original recipe passed down through his family. With the same attention to raw ingredients and respect for traditional preparation, Alessandro brings to the table a dish that represents an authentic legacy of Caorle cuisine.
